Store Sales Manager

Valisa is a new shopping experience located in the Shops at Friendly, providing creative inspiration for you, your closet, and home. 

We are looking for a results-driven, Store Sales Manager to be responsible for all sales job duties. The right candidate(s):

  • Desires to provide the customer with the same type of service they would like to receive.

  • Understands the art of listening to the customer and not over-selling.

  • Is inspired by music, fashion, and art.

  • An interest in music is a plus

  • Successful experience in a managerial position or equivalent work experience is required

  • Must exhibit great leadership skills and the ability to remain motivated while motivating others

  • Must understand and properly execute sale metrics

  • Must be available for weekend and some holiday shifts.

  • The ability to create music is an added benefit

  • Additional requires

This position requires the ability to lift at least 10-25 lbs. This position also requires some off-site pickups

Benefits

This position includes:

A weekly gas and lunch stipend of up to $50 per week

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service

  • Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on product features

  • Meet appropriate monthly sales goals

  • Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries

  • Follow and achieve department’s sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis

  • “Go the extra mile” to drive sales

  • Maintain in-stock and presentable condition assigned areas

  • Actively seek out customers in store

  • Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options

  • Process POS (point of sale) purchases

  • Cross sell products

  • Handle returns of merchandise

  • Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service

  • Build productive trust relationships with customers

  • Comply with inventory control procedures

  • Suggest ways to improve sales (e.g. planning marketing activities, changing the store’s design)

Part-time and full-time positions are available with competitive pay at $14-$20/hr. Pay is based on experience and results.
